Scholarship Details

Each year, the Romanian Government offers several scholarships to non-EU citizens through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The scholarships cover three academic cycles:

1. Bachelor’s Degree:

   • Targeted at high school or pre-university graduates with a baccalaureate degree or equivalent.

2. Master’s Degree:

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be foreign citizens from non-EU countries and meet the following criteria:

• Excluded are citizens of Romanian origin or those part of Romanian historical communities near Romania, citizens who have requested or acquired protection in Romania, stateless persons recognized by Romanian law, diplomatic and consular staff and their families, staff of international organizations based in Romania, and those already benefiting from a Romanian state scholarship for the same study cycle.

Benefits of the Scholarships

The scholarship includes:

• Tuition Fees: Full coverage for the entire study period.
• Accommodation: Financial support for student dormitory housing within the subsidy limit.
• Monthly Stipend:
  • €65 equivalent in Romanian Lei for undergraduate and preparatory year students.
  • €75 equivalent in Romanian Lei for Master’s students.
  • €85 equivalent in Romanian Lei for PhD students.
