International President’s Entrance Scholarships 2024
The President’s International Entrance Scholarships at Langara College are designed to provide financial support to international students from British Columbia who are seeking higher education. This prestigious scholarship offers a $7,500 award for students who plan to begin their full-time undergraduate studies in the fall semester. The scholarship allocates $5,000 towards tuition and fees for the first term, with the remaining $2,500 credited towards the second term, contingent on maintaining a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.67 and full-time enrollment.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a current Grade 12 student at a BC high school and have conditional acceptance as an international student for the Fall Semester 2024 at Langara College.
- Have completed at least two years of high school in British Columbia, specifically Grades 11 and 12.
- Plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate program (nine or more credits) at Langara College.
- Achieve a minimum of 70% in Grade 11 English.
- Maintain an overall Grade 11 GPA of at least 80%.
Application Process
Applications for the Fall 2025 semester will open on October 1, 2024. Interested students must complete the application form and provide the following documents:
- A copy of the offer of admission letter from Langara College.
- A high school transcript indicating a minimum of 70% in Grade 11 English and an overall GPA of at least 80% in Grade 11.
- A personal statement explaining the reasons for applying for the scholarship and highlighting any academic achievements or contributions to the learning community that support the application.
