GREAT Scholarships 2024 – University of Reading

In a collaborative effort with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, the University of Reading is excited to announce the availability of four prestigious scholarships, each valued at £10,000, for the 2024 academic year. These scholarships aim to support talented students from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and Thailand, enabling them to pursue advanced studies in the UK.

Scholarship Details

The scholarships will be granted in the form of a tuition fee reduction and are available to students from the following countries:

  • Bangladesh: Open to applicants for any master’s degree program.
  • India: Available for students applying to LLM, MA, and MRes programs within the School of Law.
  • Pakistan: Open to applicants for any master’s degree program.
  • Thailand: Open to applicants for any master’s degree program.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the GREAT Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Nationality: Must hold a passport issued by Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, or Thailand.
  • Admission Offer: Must have received an offer of admission to an eligible master’s degree program starting in September 2024.
  • Study Mode: Must be enrolled on a full-time basis.
  • Scholarship Restrictions: Must not be in receipt of a full scholarship from another source. However, the GREAT Scholarship can be combined with partial funding from other sources, including other University of Reading master’s scholarships, provided that the total financial support does not exceed the annual tuition fee.

Application Process

The application period for the GREAT Scholarships is now open, with a submission deadline of 3 May 2024. Scholarships will primarily be awarded based on previous academic achievements. Successful candidates will be notified within four weeks after the application deadline.
