Global Scholarships at Hiram College in USA, 2024

To ensure full consideration, completed applications for admission should be submitted by May 1st for the fall 2024 intake and by October 1st for the spring 2025 intake. There is no separate scholarship application; scholarships are awarded based on academic merit.

 Global Scholarship: Amount Varies

International students must submit all required admission documents to qualify for this scholarship. The Admission staff evaluates all applicants for Global Scholarships based on their academic performance and extracurricular achievements. Scholarships range from $8,000 to $10,000 per year and can be renewed for up to four years.

Estimated Direct Cost of Attendance for Freshman/New Transfer Students:

  • Tuition: $27,100
  • Room (double): $6,050
  • Meal Plan: $5,800
  • Total: $38,950

In addition to these direct costs, which include the New Student Institute Fee of $100, international students should anticipate paying approximately $29,000 per year after applying the Global Scholarship. Indirect costs, including books, supplies, travel, and personal expenses, are estimated at $2,995 annually.

The Transfer Scholarship: Amount Varies

Students with more than 12 transfer credits and a minimum GPA equivalent of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale are eligible for a transfer scholarship. These scholarships also range from $8,000 to $10,000 per year for up to four years.

The Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship: Is at $1,000 Per Year

In addition to the transfer global scholarship, international students who are members of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society will receive an additional $1,000 scholarship annually.

Alumni or Sibling Grant

This grant is available to international students who have family members currently studying at or who are recent alumni of Hiram College, including parents, grandparents, and siblings.

U.S. Citizens/LPRs

Hiram College offers various scholarships and grants, making it an affordable option for many students. Merit scholarships are renewable for four years, and recipients are chosen based on a holistic review of academic excellence, extracurricular activities, personal motivation, and character. No separate application is needed.

How to Apply for Scholarships and Financial Aid

  1. Fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA): Complete the FAFSA online at the FAFSA website as soon as possible after October 1st. Include Hiram’s FAFSA code, 003049, to ensure they receive your information.
  2. Apply for admission: There is no need for a separate scholarship application.
  3. Wait for the results: Hiram College will mail a comprehensive financial aid package, including your award letter and an estimated cost worksheet, on an ongoing basis.
