International Scholarships : The International House and Programming is committed to supporting students by offering scholarships that help alleviate the financial burden of education. These scholarships are awarded based on various criteria including academic achievement, student status, and active involvement in student organizations.
Leadership Scholarship
Annually on November 1st, the International House and Programming begins accepting applications for the Leadership Scholarship. This scholarship is available to international students, with ten awards of $600 each.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Leadership Scholarship, students must meet the following requirements:
- Student Status: Must be an F1 Visa holder.
- Academic Performance: Undergraduate students need a minimum GPA of 2.5, while graduate students require a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Enrollment Status: Must be a full-time student in good standing at the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO).
- Student Involvement: Active participation in a UCO student organization is necessary.
- Future Enrollment: Must be enrolled for the following semester.
Application Process
Interested students can pick up application forms at the International House Office, located in West Hall 104C, or at the Office of Global Affairs. All applications must be submitted by November 30th each year.
Scholarships for International House Leaders
Additionally, the International House recognizes the contributions of its leaders by offering the following scholarships:
- Country and Regional Association President: $250 per semester.
- Executive Officer of the International Student Council: $250 per semester.
- Global Leadership Ambassador Executive Director: $250 per semester.
- President and Treasurer of the International Student Council: $1,000 per semester.
These scholarships are designed to acknowledge and reward the leadership and dedication of students who take on significant roles within the International House community.
