Chancellor’s Scholarship : The University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) is offering an exciting scholarship opportunity for international students commencing their postgraduate studies in September 2024. This prestigious award, covering 50% of tuition fees, is designed to attract and support outstanding students from around the globe.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants have to meet the following criteria:

• Academic Achievement: Applicants must have achieved the equivalent of a British first-class undergraduate degree.
• Admission Status: Candidates must hold an unconditional offer or a conditional offer where the only condition is an IELTS or equivalent English language proficiency score.
• New Student Status: Applicants must be new to UWE Bristol with no prior study experience in the UK.
• Fee Classification: Candidates must be classified as overseas for fee purposes.
• Non-Sponsored Status: Applicants must not be sponsored students or recipients of another scholarship or award.
• Documentation: Official transcripts must be provided at the time of application.

Application Process

Eligible applicants will be invited to apply for the scholarship as part of the UWE Bristol application process. It is important to ensure that all eligibility criteria are ready before applying. The successful applicant will be notified by the end of May 2024.

Post-Award Expectations

Recipients of the UWE Bristol International Postgraduate Scholarship are expected to actively engage with the university community throughout their course. This includes undertaking ambassadorial activities to promote UWE Bristol. Additionally, following graduation, scholarship recipients are expected to remain active members of the UWE Bristol Alumni Network, helping to promote the university’s programs to prospective students.

Financial Requirements

Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they meet the UKVI criteria for covering living costs and the remainder of their tuition fees. This is a mandatory requirement for securing a student visa to study in the UK.
