University of Westminster – GREAT Scholarships 2024
The University of Westminster, in collaboration with the UK government’s GREAT Britain campaign and the British Council, proudly offers the GREAT Scholarships. More details about this partnership can be accessed on the Study UK website.
Scholarship Details
The GREAT Scholarship provides a £10,000 award towards tuition fees for international postgraduate students. This scholarship is a one-time award applicable to the first year of study for students enrolled in a full-time master’s program starting in September 2024. The scholarship is available to students from Egypt, Kenya, Indonesia, and Malaysia, provided they meet the academic criteria of a minimum 2:1 UK degree equivalent.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be an overseas fee-paying student from Egypt, Kenya, Indonesia, or Malaysia and currently residing in their home country.
- Hold an offer for a full-time master’s course at the University of Westminster’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences starting in September 2024.
- Not already possess a master’s degree unless specified in the overseas academic qualifications equivalency guide.
Ineligible Courses
Applicants are not eligible for the scholarship if their course falls into any of the following categories:
- Postgraduate Diploma
- Professional courses (e.g., RIBA pt III, ACCA, CIMA, CiLEX)
- Conversion courses (e.g., Graduate Diploma in Law)
- Integrated Masters/MPhil/PhD
- Part-time courses
Selection Criteria
The selection process is based on academic qualifications and the personal statement provided by the applicant. Applicants must hold at least a 2:1 UK equivalent honors degree. Further details can be verified in the Overseas Academic Qualifications Equivalency Chart.
